Topic selection
A page is created when the user intent is distinct and the page can add a useful explanation, example set, visual, chart, or practice path. Similar unit pairs that do not warrant unique teaching are served by the main converter.
Measurement verification
Core conversion constants are checked against current authoritative material. US customary and SI references prioritize the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). Imperial definitions use UK legislation. Source titles, URLs, and the verification date are stored alongside the constants.
Calculators and generated tables consume that one dataset. This prevents a guide, chart, and calculator from drifting into different values.
Educational writing
Each lesson begins with the answer or insight, then explains the relationship. Examples are checked for arithmetic, direction, unit labels, and system consistency. Worksheets and quizzes are original and include reasoning-oriented answer feedback.
Suggested grade levels are practical guidance only unless a page names a specific documented alignment. GallonMan does not claim reviews by unnamed teachers or invented specialists.
Publication and modified dates
Dates are stored in page metadata. A deployment does not automatically change “last modified,” “last reviewed,” or sitemap dates. A modified date changes only after a meaningful edit or documented review of the page.
Corrections
Anyone can report a concern through the contact form by choosing “Correction.” Reports should identify the page, disputed statement or value, expected correction, and source when available.
Confirmed errors are corrected in the content and canonical data when applicable. The affected page’s modified date is then updated honestly. Minor typography fixes do not masquerade as a fresh review.
Commercial separation
AdSense review verification and live ad delivery are separate modes. During review, the site can expose the publisher verification meta tag and ads.txt entry without showing ad units. Live delivery is limited to eligible content pages and requires a valid publisher ID, a configured ad slot, and consent readiness.
Worksheet, quiz, contact, legal, error, and thank-you routes do not allow ads. On eligible content pages, placements remain visually labeled and separated from navigation, converter controls, quiz controls, and downloadable practice.
